Kolkata police arrested a man for allegedly stalking a minor girl in the New Alipore area. According to reports, the man, identified as Proloy Ghosh (50) met the complainant's 15-year-old sister near LIC quarters. He was in a red color car and intentionally constructed the minor's way.
In her complaint, the minor's sister claimed that Proloy tried to get acquainted with her by asking her name. He also asked for her mobile number and offered her cake. At that moment the girl became cautious and sped away from the spot.
Later on, the mother of the girl alleged that the accused person shook her daughter’s hand intending to outrage her modesty, and continuously stalked her with sexual intent. During the investigation, meticulous CCTV footage was examined, and the red car was spotted and identified promptly.
Cops rounded up Proloy within 24 hours. A case has been filed against the accused in the New Alipore Police Station. Further investigation is underway.
